Justin Bieber has informed animal rights group Peta to “suck it” after it criticised him for buying designer kittycats instead of re-homing felines from a shelter.
According to the Hollywood Press Reporter, the singer spent $35,000(₤28,000) on a set of kittycats named Sushi and Tuna.
The Savannah felines are a cross between a domesticated feline and a medium-sized, large-eared wild African Serval feline.
Peta stated the popstar is” sustaining the hazardous demand for hybrid felines”.
Kittens ‘ Go focus on real issues’
In an Instagram post, Justin, 25, argued that Peta must concentrate on tackling issues like “poaching and animal cruelty”.
He included, “Go concentrate on genuine issues. Ur tripping since I desire a particular kind of feline? U weren’t tripping when I got my pet dog Oscar and he wasn’t a rescue … every pet we get must be a rescue?
” I think in embracing saves but likewise believe there are choices which’s what breeders are for.”
Kittens ‘ Believe more deeply’
However Peta say Justin Bieber could “motivate his fans around the world to conserve a life by embracing a cat from a regional animal shelter”.
In a statement, the group prompted the singer to “believe more deeply about this concern”.
Reacting To his “draw it” remark, they stated, “when countless animals are losing their lives every year since inadequate people adopt – choosing instead to store – the animal overpopulation crisis is a genuine problem. That’s what sucks.”
Sushi and Tuna are not the Canadian star’s very first exotic animals.
In 2013 Justin was offered a Capuchin monkey called OG Mally, which he attempted to take on tour to Germany.
The monkey was seized from him and contributed to a German zoo.
