Ted Cruz diagnoses ‘sad state of affairs’ about Obama’s Texas trip

President Obama heads to Texas today for fundraisers (naturally) and a meeting in Dallas to discuss “growing immigration issues at the border.” According to the White House, Obama’s stop in Texas will not include a visit to the border to see the crisis firsthand.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz isn’t happy about it:

A suggestion was offered to Sen. Cruz:

That might do the trick!

Another week, another round of standardized education tests. This week, Texas schools are administering their statewide STAAR test. (Thankfully, Texas had the good sense to reject Common Core, so its students won’t be subjected to any of that nonsense.)

Woman Waiting At The Airport Gets A Romantic Musical Surprise From Her Boyfriend.

Lindsey had just returned home from a month-long teaching program in Costa Rica and was waiting patiently at the airport for her boyfriend to come pick her up. Little did she know, he had much more in mind than that.

As she sat there in the arrivals area, she was joined by two strangers. One of them started playing the guitar while the other began singing “It Will Rain” by Bruno Mars. At first she had no idea what was going on, but then she started having a few suspicions that her boyfriend might have a hand in this. Her suspicions were correct, and as she stood up to see if she could find him she spotted him all suited-up and carrying flowers, just waiting to welcome her home in the best way.

Now if this is how he picks her up from the airport after being a month away from her, then just imagine what his proposal will look like!

The two musicians were Rico Contreras (vocals) and Luis Mojica (guitarist) from Mariachi Nuevo Estilo A.D.M. in San Antonio, Texas. So if you ever find yourself in the area needing singers for a romantic airport gesture, look them up!

Michael Moore blames Ebola on Texas, GOP, NRA, and Wall Street bankers

Left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore took to Twitter early this morning to unleash an anti-Texas, anti-GOP, anti-NRA, anti-Wall Street Ebola rant.

Texas. The state that questions evolution in its HS textbooks. The state that wants 2 remove Jefferson from a part of its history textbooks.

— Michael Moore (@MMFlint) October 16, 2014

Personally, I haven't been worried about ebola ever since TX Gov Rick Perry stood in front of the microphones reassuring us he was in charge

— Michael Moore (@MMFlint) October 16, 2014

Did u know we don't have a perm Surgeon General during this crisis? Obama nom Dr Vivek Murthy 1yr ago but the NRA & Repubs have blocked him.

— Michael Moore (@MMFlint) October 16, 2014

Infectious diseases budget, facilities, prep cut after Wall St thievery killed economy. Now it helps kill lives. Still not 1 banker jailed.

— Michael Moore (@MMFlint) October 16, 2014

To a certain segment of the population, it all made perfect sense:

@MMFlint In 24 hours Texas to SHUTDOWN; Asian&Black women given EBOLA then forced to go outside in public; White FULL RETARD in TEXAS; #gaza

— WickedWitchOfGaza (@Clinton2016Nazi) October 16, 2014

@MMFlint Perrycare

— James Parker (@sayjhoward) October 16, 2014

@MMFlint Texas state motto: "Its better to be inbred than out of bread…"

— Josh Fanella (@Fanella__Ice) October 16, 2014

@MMFlint Why don't we remove Texas from the rest of the country and let them breed stupid people.

— Freethinker (@SinastaOne) October 16, 2014

@MMFlint That was more frightening than the disease. Is it fair to say Perry is in a disease class of his own?

— TommyTheLee (@TommyLeeAllman) October 16, 2014

@MMFlint Yeah ok mike, this ebola psyop is about as real as the 2013 stock photo of "Nina Pham's dog getting a bath in quarantine" lol.

— Daniel Cabral (@dansw4) October 16, 2014

@MMFlint lol and again that guy is allowed to be a politician lol #onlyinamerica

— Trev (@rocko_ca) October 16, 2014

Sane Twitter users pushed back with some truth:

@MMFlint More drivel. Amazing you get away with it. Here are the facts about CDC and NIH funding: http://t.co/yhhBYJcoV8

— Larry Elder (@larryelder) October 16, 2014

@MMFlint "Right-wing" WaPo, begs to differ on CDC cuts http://t.co/SoG45M3ilm But you're spot-on about govt coddling of Wall St. charlatans!

— Lee Spieckerman (@spieckerman) October 16, 2014

@MMFlint your anti southern bigotry is annoying. Also, Texas doing a lot better than Michigan. Their cities aren't bankrupt

— Aaron Bradley (@AaronBradleyInc) October 16, 2014

Unfortunately, we doubt these tweets will do much good. The liberal mind is impervious to logic.
