Yesterday afternoon, D.C. police arrested a 58-year-old woman in connection with vandalism at the National Cathedral. She was charged with defacing property.!/wusa9/status/362314168784801792

Jia Mei Tian, a Chinese national, was reportedly in the U.S. on a recently expired visa.!/mollenbeckWTOP/status/362304287092637696!/mollenbeckWTOP/status/362304287092637696

D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier believes the vandalism at the National Cathedral and other local landmarks are related.

Tian is due back in court on August 2.
