Rob Lowe calls out Pharrell for NFL #LipSyncFail

Flag on the play! Actor Rob Lowe was less than impressed when Packers-Seahawks pre-show entertainer Pharrell Williams suffered a #LipSyncFail during his performance, holding his mic to the crowd while somehow continuing to sing.

That’s true. But it’s still fun to ridicule.

Quite a few tweeters would have been “happy” to have skipped the performance entirely.

Kurt Eichenwald drags out the straw men to re-enact the Gospels

“Anti-bullying” expert Dan Savage isn’t the only one who likes to speak for Jesus every now and then to set those right-wing nutjobs straight about scripture. Vanity Fair contributing editor Kurt Eichenwald would like to have a turn at setting those misguided “Tpartiers” on the right (that is, Left) track. What was that thing Jesus said, again?

Go on.

Someday, someone on the Left will figure out what the Tea Party is all about. Until then, we have the conservatives of Twitter to help explain.

No, he’s not. Straw men are always in stock.

Woman Waiting At The Airport Gets A Romantic Musical Surprise From Her Boyfriend.

Lindsey had just returned home from a month-long teaching program in Costa Rica and was waiting patiently at the airport for her boyfriend to come pick her up. Little did she know, he had much more in mind than that.

As she sat there in the arrivals area, she was joined by two strangers. One of them started playing the guitar while the other began singing “It Will Rain” by Bruno Mars. At first she had no idea what was going on, but then she started having a few suspicions that her boyfriend might have a hand in this. Her suspicions were correct, and as she stood up to see if she could find him she spotted him all suited-up and carrying flowers, just waiting to welcome her home in the best way.

Now if this is how he picks her up from the airport after being a month away from her, then just imagine what his proposal will look like!

The two musicians were Rico Contreras (vocals) and Luis Mojica (guitarist) from Mariachi Nuevo Estilo A.D.M. in San Antonio, Texas. So if you ever find yourself in the area needing singers for a romantic airport gesture, look them up!

Biden on Obama: “This man has a spine of steel”

I guess if he means inflexible. MSNBC via Weasel Zippers:

In a speech that the Obama campaign says will be the first of a series of addresses by the vice president framing the general election, Joe Biden today delivers remarks at a United Auto Workers town hall in Toledo, OH at 11:00 am ET. This is the first major campaign speech by either member of the ticket that didn’t have a fundraising invite connected to it.

According to excerpts released by the campaign, Biden will focus on — you guessed it — the auto bailout that Obama supported (and Romney didn’t). “The president didn’t flinch. This man has a spine of steel,” he’s expected to say. “He knew rescuing the industry wasn’t popular. He knew he was taking a chance. But he believed. He said, we are not going to give up on a million jobs, and the iconic industry America invented. Not without a fight. We all want a president with the courage of his convictions. Well, folks, we have one. He made the tough call. And the verdict is in: President Obama was right and his critics were dead wrong.

Or maybe that’s a nice way of saying he’s got a stick up his ass? I imagine there will be a lot of humorous Twitter reax on this one.

Ah, so he's not a Kenyan — he's a mutant! RT @jamiedupree: Biden says of President Obama, "He has a steel spine"
